Independence. It’s something we all cherish, but some folks need a little help to achieve that dream. And that’s where service animals shine. From seeing eye dogs to mobility assistance animals to diabetic-alert canines and everything in between, service animals fill the gap and make independence a reality. They change lives, all while offering love, companionship and, most of all, understanding.

Service animals undergo rigorous training before they meet their forever families. Raised from birth by dedicated foster families strong enough to love them and then let them go one year later, service animals go into the second phase of specialized training designed to assist their lifelong partners.

The final training takes place as a team, learning to work with each other to master the day-to-day tasks of living, growing and thriving.

Working as a team cements a lifelong bond of mutual respect and friendship, and so begins a great love story.
